Quote of the day
Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Vivekananda Vidyabhavan Library, now known as "Shraddhaprana Pathakakshma", was set up in 1961, when the college was established. It was initially housed college building, adjacent to the Teachers’ Common Room, but later it was shifted to the floor above the Assembly Hall (Muktiprana Sabhagriha) in 1975. More expansion took place in 2010 that has made it very spacious and user-friendly. An integral part of the College, the Shraddhaprana Pathakakshma has always played a significant role in the teaching-learning process.
Spacious and well-equipped, the Reading Room offers reference books, periodicals, career guidance books and a section for current awareness.
Teachers’ cubicles are arranged on one side for facilitating library work for teachers and teacher-student discussions.
The Library also has a rich and exclusive collection of Ramakrishna Vedanta Literature. It also has a research centre on "The Woman missionaries of the Ramakrishna Order" which provides readers with related books, journals, e-resources.
There is a Gender Resource Corner that displays books, journals and other research compilations related to gender issues.
